"What's up with M-R-A-Z?"

Tonight I went to Starbucks with Erin and Kate, and then we drove all over Alpharetta and Roswell and probably some other greater Atlanta cities that I'm not aware of listening to really fun music on my iPod, and it was the most fun I've had all Spring Break.
That's all.

Just The Kind I Like

I got into Grady [School Of Journalism And Mass Communication], so now I'm actually a Magazines major and not...I don't know, anything else. Which is suuuuuch a relief, as my supreme paranoia made me almost certain I wouldn't be getting in despite my relatively high GPA and the fact that I'm in Honors (which in actuality, made it an almost certainty that I would be getting in). So now I can finally start on my real major classes and won't have to be languishing in between the Core and my major. So yay!
We all made it back from the cabin yesterday in one piece, which is nice. It was fun. There's really not much else to say-- no incredibly comical stories to report, no pictures to post (at least, not until I ransack the computers of the kids who actually bothered to take pictures). Fun, though, all the same.
And basically I'll be in Alpharetta until Sunday night, and I wish I didn't have to go back to Athens so soon because school is kind of sucking it up this semester, and I would so love to be finished with it. But that's another thing for another time. So I'll just take my not-quite-two-full-days and run with them.

"How's your March 9th?"

Even when not drinking, I've re-realized how much fun it is to hang around with alcoholics. They're just so much more fun and easygoing than regular people. It really makes me wish I didn't have an advising appointment early tomorrow morning, though, because then I could get Spring Break started early.
Don't you hate it when you spark with somebody (which, c'mon, really doesn't happen all that often), but you know it would never work out so you just kind of leave it to occasional flirting, but it's nice to know they're out there, y'know, but then the decision gets taken out of your hands and you find out they're not so single anymore? What a waste of a really cute outfit.
I have no classes on Friday, so after Bio lab tomorrow I'm finally finished for awhile. Saturday we're leaving for the cabin and we're coming back on Thursday, so I'll be in the Alph Thursday through Sunday if anybody's around and wants to get together. Any takers? Bueller? In any case, I'm getting more excited about the cabin (particularly now that Ayrun is probably going-- we are going to make fun of people all week long). Though that could just be excitement over doing anything that isn't going to class, which I seem to be having trouble with lately. Hey, I got a B on my Bio midterm, so that's something. That's enough schooling for me.
Did I mention tomorrow I have an early early advising appointment? All the way in Moore College. I don't know how I used to get myself all the way to North Campus all the time. You have to wake up like an hour earlier! Geez. Tomorrow's gonna be a long day.
Oh and today is Lindsey Thurman's 21st birthday! Happy birthday Lindsey!

It's Only Teenage Wasteland

  • Survived another February-- and against all odds, this one wasn't bad at all. I might even say it was a good month, which is shocking. I mean, a good February? That's practically unheard of.

  • On a related note, I managed to get my free February chicken biscuit (thank you, parents, for the lovely Chik-Fil-A calendar) in the nick of time. Mmmm...tastes like heaven.

  • Three tests coming up. All three require A's, so we'll see about that.

  • Going home Friday night for really no reason at all, except that most of my friends are going home, too. The parents have offered a movie, though, and hey, free movie!

  • Michael Flynn is coming Saturday to Flicker. I want to go, but don't know if I will. Anybody want to join?

  • Just a week and a half left til Spring Break, which I will be spending with the dorm kids in a cabin in Tennessee (against my better judgement, perhaps?). Apparently we will be watching a lot of movies and playing a lot of board games. Hmm. Sounds like high school.

  • We got four new TV channels! Some weird one I've never heard of, the Food Network (Unwrapped!), another HBO (no idea which one, but now we have six, I believe), and the Disney Channel! Boy Meets World is on as we speak, and all is right with the world for the next half-hour.

  • I'll find out if I got in Grady (Journalism school) within the month. "Late March," they say, which I very much hope doesn't turn into "Early November" or some such nonsense. So you can forget about it for now, but after Spring Break maybe keep your fingers crossed a little bit.

And I'm done. Just thought I'd check in, even without the good stuff to write about. It'll do for now.
